This is the first design of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, a charitable association established under the British Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. It’s the largest tertiary care sanitarium in Pakistan.

The sanitarium was innovated by Pakistani cricketer- turned– politician and current Prime Minister Imran Khan. The idea to make a cancer sanitarium came after his mama ,Ms. Shaukat Khanum, was diagnosed with cancer in 1985.
